Image to PDF Converter – Merge Photos into One PDF

Combine JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF images into a single PDF document right in your browser. Each image becomes one A4 page, scaled to fit and centred, and the whole PDF is generated locally - the pictures are never uploaded.

This is the quick path for scanned receipts, multi-page forms, photo portfolios and resumes that must be sent as one file. For layout tips and when PDF is the right container, see the image to PDF tutorial.

Key features

How to use

  1. Drop images onto the zone, or click to select them from a folder.
  2. The browser builds one PDF: each image on its own A4 page, in selection order.
  3. Download the single PDF file.

Why PDF is the right container for images

PDF (Portable Document Format) was created by Adobe in the early 1990s and later standardized as ISO 32000. Its whole point is that a document looks the same on any screen or printer, which is exactly what you want when you send scanned pages or a portfolio to someone who may open it on a phone, a Mac or a print shop.

A PDF bundles the images, the page sizes and the layout into one file. Unlike sending ten separate JPGs, the recipient sees them in the order you intended, and the file opens with the built-in viewer on every modern operating system.

What this page does - and what it does not

The settings are fixed on purpose so the result is predictable. Here is exactly what to expect.

How the PDF is assembled in your browser

The page uses jsPDF, an open-source library that builds PDF files with JavaScript. Everything happens inside the tab.

Step by step: merging scanned pages into one PDF

For arranging scans, choosing orientation and avoiding blurry phone photos, the full image to PDF tutorial walks through each step.

  1. Scan or photograph each page; name them in order (page1, page2...) to stay organized.
  2. Select all the images in the dialog, or drag them onto the zone in the order you want.
  3. Wait while jsPDF renders each page; larger images take a moment longer.
  4. Download the single PDF and open it to check the order and fit.
  5. If the file is too large for an upload limit, shrink the source JPGs first with the image compressor, then rebuild.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many images can I merge into one PDF?

Select as many as you like; each image becomes its own A4 page in the PDF, in the order you chose them. The tool also accepts a larger per-file size budget for PDF jobs than for the small image converters.

What page size and orientation does the PDF use?

Fixed A4 portrait. This dedicated page has no paper-size or margin pickers; for US Letter, landscape or custom margins, use the full PDF converter.

Will my images be cropped?

No. Each image is scaled proportionally so the whole picture fits the page, then centred. Wide photos leave white bands above and below; tall photos leave side margins.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. jsPDF builds the PDF in your browser tab, and the images never leave your device. Nothing is sent to a server during the merge.

Can I include PNG transparency or animated GIFs?

Transparent pixels are embedded as JPEG, so they flatten to the white page background. Animated GIFs contribute only their first frame; the rest of the animation is ignored.

Is the resulting PDF watermarked?

No. The generated PDF contains only your images, with no logo, banner or watermark added.

Why is my PDF so large?

Each image is embedded as a JPEG, so a PDF of ten high-resolution photos can be tens of MB. Shrink the source photos with the image compressor first, then rebuild the PDF.
