How does the Photo Requirement Fitter work?
Upload a photo, set the exact width and height in pixels, choose JPG, PNG or WebP and optionally a maximum file size in KB, then press “Make it fit”. The output is verified against every requirement before you download it.
What is the difference between Fill & crop, Fit & pad and Stretch?
Fill & crop scales the photo to cover the whole frame and trims the overflow; Fit & pad shows the entire photo and fills any empty edges with a color or transparency; Stretch distorts the photo to the exact pixels. Use Fill & crop for avatars and ID photos, Fit & pad when nothing may be cut off.
Can it guarantee a maximum file size such as 240 KB or 500 KB?
For JPG and WebP it binary-searches the compression quality to stay at or below your KB target while keeping the highest possible quality. PNG is lossless, so if a PNG cannot reach the target at the exact pixels the tool says so and recommends switching to JPG or WebP instead of pretending.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Resizing, padding and compression all run locally in your browser using Canvas; the photo never leaves your device.
